Webinar: Supporting Children with Autism in Head Start and Childcare Settings

When: Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 10:00 am – noon

Where: TTA Center and online

Presenter: Susan Izeman, Ph.D

This webinar will provide participants with an understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), particularly in how those disorders are seen in toddlers and preschoolers.  We will discuss the strengths and challenges for children on the Autism Spectrum, working with families as a team to identify goals for each child, and strategies that Head Start and Childcare settings can use to support children with ASD.  Participants will have time to share their own experiences in including children with ASD in their programs and to ask specific questions.
